The Joe Nall Valkyre Big Build

 Everyone is invited to participate in building the 200% Valkyre. 

In true Joe Nall fashion it will be BIG, a 20 foot wing span.

The Carl Goldberg 1937 Valkyre

         Wingspan :  20 ft.

               Chord :  40 in.

Fuselage length :  12 ft.      

 Fuselage width :  16 in

            Elevator :    8 ft.

              Rudder :    3 ft.

               Engine : 100cc

 

Goals

1^st Year 2008         Frame up wing.

2^nd Year 2009        Frame up fuselage.

3^rd Year 2010         Build tail feathers and hinge.

4^th Year 2011         Mount wing and tail.  Prepare for radio installation

5^th Year 2012         Cover plane.  Install radio and engine.

 We had great success and made our goals in 2008.

 

2-10 foot wing panels

58 individual built up ribs

1,600 pieces in the wing

1,500 linear feet of material

 

The wing panels and parts are put in storage waiting for you and the 2009 Joe Nall.

 Valkyre progress 2009

 

It was a great Nall working on the Valkyrie. A lot of finish work is done on the wing. The fuselage was framed up but a lot of finish work left to be done.  We hope everyone is enjoying the project and will come back and bring their friends to  keep it going.

 The 24 foot building table will be set up in the Pat's hanger. All the building materials and tool are supplied. You are welcome to sign the parts you make and leave your name on this unique airplane. See you there.
